Actually there is a very good reason we are late; it's exciting and it's the effect of our manifesting and I can't wait to tell you; but I am going to tease you a couple of weeks longer, if you need to know sooner COME IN AND SEE ME - you know I love to talk!

We all have dreams, but how often do you hear someone say “I'd love to do/have...but it will never happen for me”? But why not? Why shouldn't you realise your dreams? How? Just manifest them!
What is manifesting? Well if you've read the various books about Cosmic Ordering, The Law of Attraction, The Secret, you'll already know the answer!
Over the last few weeks I seem to have explained manifesting to several visitors to the shop, everyone's heard of it but it seems a lot of people still don't know how to do it. After I'd described it to the fifth person, I started to think...I should send an email about this!
So here we go - a beginner's guide to manifesting!
First, sit and think of something that you really want in your life. It can be something material, like a new house, a car, a conservatory, or it can be a new job or a career change, or...well, anything really; the only limit is your imagination!
Now think forward, maybe 6 months, a year, 2 years...you've achieved your dream. What does it look like? How does it feel? How do you feel? How do the people around you feel? Close your eyes and really live the experience...feels good doesn't it?
Now over to your creative expression - it's time to make up a manifesting board! Do this in whatever way feels right for you - if you're lucky enough to be artistic, draw it, or if you're not artistic but you are visual, cut pictures and words from a magazine and make up a collage (careful with the glue but have a bit of fun while you're at it and get in touch with your inner child!). Or write it down, but make sure you describe it in detail, including all the feelings. Whichever way works for you, capture it in a way that inspires you and that you can revisit later on.
Now put it away. Yes, that's right...put it away. Forget about it. Well, not totally forget about it...over the next few months notice the people who come into your life and the opportunities that come your way that might help you realise your dream - it might not always be in the way you expect!
Sounds simple doesn't it? But does it work?
Well we think so. Let me give you some examples of how it's worked for us.
Manifesting Enchanted!
3 years ago Enchanted was just a dream, a twinkle in my eye. It slowly became all-consuming, but I wasn't working, I had no money, there were no suitable premises, I couldn't see how I could possibly get it off the ground, but the dream wouldn't fade. Then I saw a 2 day course, Women into Business, it was free so I thought... why not.
The people doing the course with me were a mixed bunch, but out of the 7 of us, 5 had a spiritual background. John, the course leader, also had a spiritual background, and his wife was a crystal healer. The focus of the course was very business-orientated as you might expect, then at the end of the first day John gave us our homework for the next week. Although he didn't use the words, I realised that he was describing a manifesting board!
Yes, he confirmed, that was what he was talking about, and he told the story of a friend of his, about to get married, the friend and his wife-to-be sat down and made a collage of their ideal home. Of course it was way beyond their means at that time, they didn't know about manifesting but it was fun to dream, and when they finished they folded it up and put it in one of their packing crates. Years went by and 5 house moves later they finally had room to unpack all their crates. They came across their collage and sat down in amazement as they realised the house they were now in was the ideal home they'd dreamt about years before.
So I went home, sat down, and followed the steps I've outlined earlier in this email. I wrote a 2-page description of the shop, where I sat, the layout and how it looked from where I sat, how I greeted people, how I felt, how they felt, and so on. I never showed it to anyone; I just put it away and thought no more of it. The end of the course came, and I went away knowing more about running a business than before, but still with no idea how I could possibly achieve it.
Not long after the course I had a very difficult 6 months, but every cloud has a silver lining (even if you have to look hard for it sometimes!) and I came out of the other side with most of the money that I needed to start the shop...but still no premises. Then one day we walked up to Mill Road and they'd just taken the hoardings down and we could see into the new bank of shops for the first time. They were empty shells, no ceilings, one electrical point at the back, one fluorescent light strip and a sink. It seemed daunting, but it also felt right. So...I had the money, I had the premises - in the words of my good friend Sharon, time to put my money where my mouth (and dream!) was.
It's now 18 months since we opened, I looked at my manifesting board the other day and I looked around the shop, thought how it felt, about my customers...and it was exactly as I'd described.
Manifesting a job!
As some of you know, my partner Mark was made redundant earlier this year - despite the recession it was unexpected as the company proudly boasted of being recession-proof, and the cuts were quite dramatic in the area that he worked in. Once we'd got over the initial shock, job-hunting started in earnest. Looking for a job was a full-time occupation in itself, but everywhere he turned he seemed to hit a brick wall. He was very open in the kind of job he wanted so it wasn't down to being too picky but as one employment agency said “a year ago we'd have had 30-40 applications for each job, now we're getting 300-400”. Wow!
The months were passing quickly and things were getting a bit desperate, then one day, after yet another disappointment, it suddenly occurred to me to ask “have you done a manifesting board?” Of course he hadn't, so that afternoon he sat down and wrote down exactly what his ideal job would be, how it would feel, what the people he worked with would be like, and so on. He put it away and didn't even show me.
A week or two week later, out of the blue an agency he'd never spoken to before called, they'd picked up his CV from one of the job sites he'd registered with. He couldn't see why they wanted to put him forward for the job they had in mind, but thought nothing ventured, nothing gained. Amazingly enough he got a telephone interview but they all agreed that he didn't have the appropriate skills for that job...ah well, back to the drawing board. Then two weeks later another call - that same company had another job that they thought he would be suited to. Two interviews later and they made him an offer.
Going back to his manifesting board, comparing the job he'd described in detail (which he thought he didn't have a chance of getting) to the job he'd been offered...and, yes, it was an exact match.
Maybe we've both been lucky, but what about others? Several of the people that I've discussed manifesting with over the last few weeks have come back and shared their experiences, all have been successful, sometimes in the most surprising of ways. One person got a job within a couple of days of manifesting in a place that she was least expecting, another found the very specific sign that he was looking for regarding his life's purpose in a most unexpected place.
Sometimes what we manifest materialises quite quickly, sometimes it takes a few months, sometimes it takes a few years, but once you focus on it, you can be sure that it will appear when the time is right.
